ABOUT

The Scottish Fashion Awards have partnered with online fashion retailer Boohoo.com and Scotland’s National newspaper The Daily Record to search for Scotland’s New Face, the competition is now in it’s third year and crowned Christina Chalk as Scotland’s New Face 2009. The scouts will be out looking for fresh Scottish faces from across Scotland and around the world to compete in this exciting new competition. Over the next few months, we will travel around Scotland with a Daily Record photographer snapping at potential hopefuls in Shopping Centres in Scotland. An eventual short list of twenty new faces will grace the fashion pages of the Daily Record resulting in four finalists having the chance to impress the judges in a video presentation of ‘Catwalk Caledonia’, which will be broadcast at the glittering 5th Anniversary Scottish Fashion Awards 2010 event held at the Glasgow Science Centre on Sunday 20th June. The finalists will get the chance to mingle with the world’s top fashion designers, fashion editors and celebrities at Scotland’s most prestigious fashion night of the year at the gala awards ceremony, VIP dinner and after show party sponsored by Galaxy Radio.

Prizes this year include a campaign with sponsor Boohoo.com along with £1000 to spend on their website, £250 voucher to spend at one of Swarovski’s Scottish Stores, she will also receive a style make over from top creative directors at Toni & Guy at one of their Scottish salons for one year (this equates to x6 cut and colour appointments) and a make-up lesson from the internationally renowned make up brand Bobbi Brown, along with fashion spreads in Scotland’s National newspaper – but it doesn’t stop there to complete the fabulous prize, the winner of ‘Scotland’s New Face 2010’ will also receive a Smart Car to drive for the year of her reign. Yes, a brand new Smart Car courtesy of Smart’s Glasgow - it doesn’t get much better than that!

You don’t have to live in Scotland to enter but you must be Scottish by birth. So if you are Scottish and live in Glasgow, Stirling, New York or Paris you are in with a chance of becoming Scotland’s New Face 2010.
