REGISTRATION FOR THE COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED

We will take at look at your pictures, the details you provide and you will hear from us shortly. You will receive an automated letter confirming whether we will take your application forward to the next stage or whether you have been unsuccessful. If your application is unsuccessful, we will retain your personal information on our files for a reasonable amount of time, or until requested to delete the personal information from our records. If you are successful, we will retain your personal information for the duration until after the Scottish Fashion Awards 2008 and for a reasonable period thereafter. Please note that if you do not agree to us sending your details to third parties including our prestigious judging panel and sponsor brands for the purposes of evaluating your application, we will sadly be unable to consider it. Deadline for registration is 18th June 2008. Any registrations after this date will not be accepted. Entrants must be fifteen years of age or over and must not have been with a professional model agency for more than 1 year. No professional experience is required. Entrants must be available to appear at the Scottish Fashion Awards gala awards and ceremony on Sunday 29th June at Stirling Castle . If you are not free on this date (am/pm) you entry will be deemed invalid. Finalists must also be available for promotional photo calls during the month of June in the cities of Glasgow , Edinburgh or Stirling , Scotland . Finalists will be given due notice to appear.

What type of pictures are we looking for?

  • A maximum of two snap shots are required. A front facing image and a side profile image.
  • No professional pictures please. A simple Polaroid is more than acceptable.
  • We would like to see natural photo's where we can see your bone structure and skin.
  • The photo submitted alongside your application needs to be a front facing headshot.
  • The best thing is to relax! Don’t smile or pout.
  • Keep hair as natural as possible and make sure it is not obscuring your cheeks.
  • Please don’t wear make-up, sunglasses or hats etc.
  • In a side profile we need to see the jawline, hair needs to be kept away from the face.
  • Photo's should to be in colour with no computer effects or re-touching.
  • Do not submit a body shot, we will contact you if necessary.
  • Avoid wearing baggy clothes and simply stand up straight with your shoulders back.
