SCOTLAND'S NEW FACE
If anyone is qualified to recognise that special something which marks a beautiful girl out for supermodel status then it's Warehouse, Scotland's New Face partner for the second year since launching.
An established fashion name with a young, directional image, Warehouse has a knack for discovering faces that both embody their brand image and which capture the mood of the time - a serious resume advantage when it comes to partnering our quest. Recent Warehouse campaign girls include Anouck Lepere and Hanne Gaby Odiele, both international catwalk superstars.
So what are we looking for in Scotland's new face? Well, aside from great skin and beautiful features, we're after a girl that's both unique and versatile, meaning she can readily adapt to different moods and visions. In short, someone who has that elusive 'it' factor and who will fly the flag for Scottish fashion.
For those of you who've always dreamt of a career as top fashion model, now's your chance to join the ranks of Scotland's finest modelling talent, Kirsty Hume and Stella Tennant.

Swarovski - Crystal in Fashion
Swarovski, timelessly modern, seductive and glamorous, light-filled and luxurious, takes its place at the cutting edge of fashion.
Ever since 1895, when Daniel Swarovski I, (1862-1956), a young and enterprising Bohemian glass-cutter, invented a mechanical method for cutting and polishing crystal jewellery stones, Swarovski has worked hand in hand with leading designers such as Chanel, Balenciaga and Christian Dior, and jewellers around the world. Today, Swarovski, the world's largest producer of cut crystal, takes pride in its privileged position at the heart of fashion, a tradition that has been handed down through generations of the Swarovski family throughout the 20th century.
Since the 1970s, Swarovski has designed, manufactured and retailed its own collections of crystal jewellery, fashion accessories and objects, tapping into its couture legacy and capitalising on its expertise in global trends and contemporary design directions. Today the collections are retailed in over 120 countries worldwide.
Every season, the Swarovski Fashion Collection, conceived in Swarovski's creative studios in Paris and Milan, confidently blazes its own trail of innovative and fashion-forward design.
The Daniel Swarovski Collection, launched in 1989 in homage to the company's founder, has become the perfect expression of the creative dynamism that lies at the heart of the company. This inspired collection of exclusive jewellery, handbags, watches, accessories and home wares, masterminded in Paris by an in-house creative team, led by Creative Director, Nathalie Colin-Roblique, is the Couture signature of the Swarovski brand.
Today, just as it did 114 years ago, crystal comes alive in the hands of talented fashion designers, artisans and creators everywhere. Treasured by the global design community and by Swarovski's own creative team, crystal has become an essential, dynamic ingredient of catwalk glamour, lighting up every corner of the international fashion arena.
Swarovski, the UK's leading crystal accessory retailer, are proud to be the Official Jeweller for the Scottish Fashion Awards 2009.

FAKE BAKE
Fake Bake originated in the U.S.A. in 1995. Fake Bake was the first self-tan to combine naturally derived tanning agents DHA and Erythulose - guaranteeing longer lasting (up to 50% longer), more natural-looking results. The retail range was an instant success with beauty experts and celebrities alike. Accolades and endorsements quickly followed. However, what really triggered the rapid rise of the Fake Bake Phenomenon was when the range was voted No.1 self-tanner (tested against 22 other self-tans) in the influential New York Times.
In 2001, salon owner Sandra McClumpha introduced Fake Bake to the UK where incredibly, after only a few years sales matched the U.S.A. This can be attributed to Sandra's determination to make Fake Bake the choice of leading beauty professionals and celebrities. Sandra developed Fake Bake into a premium spa/salon treatment, providing high standards of training to therapists, opening training centres across the country and building up a team of dedicated experts. Award winning consultants ('Best Representative, 2008' - Professional Beauty) were recruited to provide salon operators with a local contact who could be called upon for advice and support.
As celebrities turned to this cutting-edge self-tan, so did the media. Fake Bake was recommended on various TV programs and in magazines and newspapers. Recognising the impact this had on stockists, Sandra invested heavily in TV advertising, celebrity and TV affiliations to support salons who offered Fake Bake. In-salon initiatives were introduced to help salons build their businesses.
In 2008, Sandra acquired Fake Bake in the USA, becoming the owner of the brand and overnight becoming the World's leading independent professional self-tan company.
Fake Bake constantly strives to develop products to meet the requirements of evermore informed customers. Recent developments made by our in-house laboratories in the use of advanced botanical ingredients has enabled us to remove parabens and artificial preservatives from our products, introduce added skincare benefits like anti-ageing, anti-cellulite and anti-oxidants, and develop products tailored for specific skin-tones. For the first time there's a totally safe tanning regime tailored to the individual's requirements. This perpetual investment in Research and Development means that Fake Bake will always be at the fore-front of sunless tanning technology for years to come.
